Historically Constantia is the ‘seat’ of the Cape wine industry. Located at the centre of the Cape Peninsula, this is the oldest wine making region in the Southern Hemisphere. Life is savoured slowly amongst the tree lined avenues, vineyards and equestrian centres. It is home to many political grandees.

Paarl, the ‘Pearl’ of the Cape, lies less than an hours drive north east of Cape Town in a scenic valley, surrounded by vineyards, oak trees and olive farms. This tour takes in a number of wineries that are dispersed around Paarl Mountain and includes a visit to the Taal Monument. All of the wineries produce excellent and internationally acclaimed wines.

As well as its reputation for wines of international renown, Stellenbosch is also known as the home of Springbok rugby. This tour visits Springbok related wineries in the Paarl and Stellenbosch regions. Unlike some of the players, the area is known for its aesthetic beauty and the finesse of its wines.

This is the tour that launched the Wine and Whales brand. The tour travels beyond the Hottentots Holland Mountains to the picturesque town of Hermanus deemed to provide the best land based whale watching opportunities in the Southern Hemisphere. After lunch the tour proceeds up the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. This area is especially renowned for its Pinot Noir wines.
